Compensation

  • Base Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per annum, variable based on experience and capability.

  • Bonus Structure: Competitive performance-based bonus structure allowing total earnings to exceed $150,000 with OTE

  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD): Annual CPD allowance of $500, plus access to in-house CPD opportunities to support your ongoing learning and career growth.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Injury Assessment & Management: Provide injury assessments, management, and rehabilitation services to optimize athlete performance and health outcomes.

  • Rehabilitation Leadership: Collaborate on the development and execution of the Rehab Blueprint program, ensuring tailored rehab plans and facilitating athlete return-to-play protocols.

  • On-Court Rehab: Oversee and implement on-court rehabilitation sessions, progressing athletes through stages of recovery in line with performance goals.

  • Administrative Duties: Manage clinic operations, including setting up contracts, coordinating with new leads, and selling both rehab and performance programs.

  • Lead Generation & Client Management: Take responsibility for generating new leads, filling clinic bookings, and maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Student Supervision: Lead student placements as a Clinical Educator, providing mentorship and guidance to developing physiotherapists.

  • Partnership Fulfillment: Serve as the primary point of contact for partnerships, fulfilling duties related to collaboration agreements and ensuring smooth operations.

  • Collaboration with Medical Professionals: Work closely with a network of imaging clinics, doctors, and surgeons to ensure comprehensive care and effective referral processes.

  • Inventory & Stock Management: Conduct regular stocktakes to maintain clinic supplies and ensure the availability of necessary equipment.

  • Game Coverage: Provide physiotherapy support during games and training sessions, including pre-training preparation such as taping and soft tissue therapy.

  • Software Proficiency: Utilize key software tools such as Slack, Notion, Cliniko, Teambuildr, and Hawkins Dynamics to track progress, manage data, and communicate with team members.

Required Skills and Experience

  • AHPRA Registration: Fully registered and licensed physiotherapist with AHPRA.

  • Experience in Sports: Minimum of 3-5 years working in a musculoskeletal and/or sports clinic, with proven experience managing and rehabilitating high-performance or semi-elite athletes.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy.

  • Clinical Expertise: Strong skills in diagnostic assessments, manual therapy, and injury rehabilitation, with a successful track record of return-to-play outcomes.

  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with strength & conditioning coaches, performance staff, and medical professionals to provide athlete-centered care.

  • Adaptability & Flexibility: Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing changing schedules, including NBL1 and UBL game days, training sessions, and rehab protocols. 

  • Organizational Skills: Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in both clinical practice and administrative tasks, with strong skills in managing contracts, lead generation, and client bookings.

  • Technology Proficiency: Competency with clinical and performance software such as Cliniko, Slack, Notion, Teambuildr, and Hawkins Dynamics.

  • Personable & Proactive: Approachable and empathetic, with strong communication and relationship-building skills, and a proactive attitude toward improving processes and athlete outcomes.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Postgraduate Qualification: A Masters in Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy or progression towards one.

  • APA Titled: Status as an APA Titled Sports & Exercise Physiotherapist, or in the process of obtaining this designation.

  • Athlete-Centric Experience: Experience working with athletes in high-performance or sub-elite settings, with a proven track record of injury management and return-to-play success. Preferably in the basketball setting.

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Experience in a leadership or educational role, mentoring physiotherapy students as well as junior staff.

  • Data & Performance Tools: Familiarity with strength diagnostics and other data-driven performance tracking tools.

  • Medical Network Collaboration: Experience working with a network of medical professionals, including doctors, surgeons, and imaging clinics.

  • Game-Day Protocols: Knowledge of athlete preparation, injury prevention strategies, taping, and recovery protocols specific to game-day situations.
